Biking at the Stubai valley Hotel Cappella lies directly at the foot of the most beautiful Bike-routes in the valley, the path up to the mountain farms of Pfurtschell and then along the picturesque route to the alpine hamlet of Kaserstatt and on to the highest lying refuge huts in the Stubai valley, the Starkenburger Hut at 2237m.  Here you pedal along a great, broad forestry path, full of serpentines, approx. 1.200 m of altitude, to an breathtaking viewpoint, from where the various 3000 m high mountains of Stubai´s Glacierworld seem almost touchable! Those, whostill haven´t got enough after the approx. 2 hours ,,High Mountain Tour", can ride his/her bike back into the valley via the popular Central-Alps-Path 115, which is open to bikers and where you can visit ethnic alps and go along the ski-run.  You cannot miss the ,,Truck Tractor Train" (Note: a massive dose of vitamins for bikers!) at the Galt-Alp, where you can see plenty of pasture cattle –refill your water bottle with the fresh spring water, that supposedly shall give you "supernatural pedal-power" - greetings from Obelix (we wonder what the landlady tips into her well in the morning.....) – ultimate destination is Fulpmes - the bottom station of the SCHLICK 2000 Cable Car – from there it is a comfortable ride via the valley hiking path to the HOTEL CAPPELLA! Just cross the main road and there you are back at the hotel, where you should go for a pleasant steam bath, a Finnish sauna, or a sport´s massage (order it in advance ). |
