A good walk is never a waste of time.
(Arthur Schopenhauer)
The Stubai Valley’s main village, Neustift, is located in the middle of fascinating, pristine nature, set against the backdrop of the mighty, legendary Stubai glacier. This is where Vitality and Nature Hotel Cappella can be found. It makes for an ideal starting point for many tours in the fresh mountain air. The award-winning hiking trails guarantee unforgettable experiences on the discovery of the unspoilt nature. The Stubai high-altitude trail is one of the most popular routes, leading through stunning natural scenery, past picturesque brooks and mighty waterfalls. On the trail you will pass no less than nine traditional Alpine huts. The trail starts at your doorstep at Vitality and Nature Hotel Cappella in Neustift!
Other amazing trails for nature lovers include the Grawa waterfall route, the loop trail to Kreuzjoch summit at 2,170 m, the WildeWasserWeg (Wild Water trail) at the end of the Stubai Valley, the Stollensteig trail to Kirchbrücke inn or the route past the “Himmelreich“ (kingdom of heaven) area to Gröbenhof inn in Fulpmes. Another popular option is the Franz Senn trail which leads from Neustift to the end of the valley, right at the foot of the authoritative Stubai glacier. The Quellenweg route (spring route) follows the brooks and fountains of the valley, while there is also a dedicated 5 km walking and fitness trail from the Neustift leisure center to Krößbach. Another interesting option is the hike to the Mischbachfall water falls between Gasteig and Volderau at the end of the Stubai Valley!
