Tour suggestion Nr. 1: Length: all day (approx. 9.00 – 17.00 Uhr) Distance: approx. 250 km The classical Stubai circular tour (Circular tour of the whole Stubai Alps) trip over 3 passes, Austria-Italy  Neder/Neustift – Schönberg – old Brenner national route – turn off to Mutters/Götzens/Axams – down to Kematen – into the Sellraintal – Gries im Sellrain – Kühtai – down into the Ötztal – Ötz – Sölden – Hochgurgl/Timmelsjoch (toll road!) – down into the Passeiertal – St. Leonhard/Passeier – Jaufenpaß – Sterzing – Gossensass – Brennerpaß – Schönberg – back into the Stubaital – Neustift. Comments: Nice journey, about 6 hours of riding without counting stops and food, sometimes heavy traffic, 2 tolls to be paid. Panoramic view of the Timmelsjoch. In part heavily worn. Classic tour for everybody to find and ride. Circular tour of the Stubaier Alps along a fine stretch of road. Tour suggestion Nr. 2: Lenth: all day (approx. 9.00 – 16.00 Uhr) Distance: approx. 220 km The lakes trip in the Alpine foothills with opportunity for swimming  Neder-Neustift – Schönberg – Brenner national route towards Innsbruck – Mutters/Götzens/Axams – Oberperfuß – Sellraintal – Gries/Sellrain-Kühtai – Ochsengarten – right over the Haimingerberg (fine road with little traffic) – Silz - Mötz-Barwies-Obermieming-Telfs – Richtung Mösern/Seefeld – Bairbach – Leutasch – Mittenwald – Krün –Wallgau – Vorderriss (toll road!) – Digression to Hinterriss always possible – beautiful natural stretch! Sylvensteinsee – Achenpass – Achensee – Eben/Achensee – Jenbach – Schwaz – Wattens – Volders – Hall – Innsbruck – Brenner national road – Schönberg – Neustift in the Stubai Valley to the Hotel. Comments: Beautiful sections to the route, fine scenery (except for the return journey from Schwaz into the Stubai Valley), driving time 6 full hours, relatively little traffic, at least in part, well-constructed easy stretches. Hinterriss is a charming pasture meadow basin, idyllic and romantic and the road is also superb. |
