Cross-country ski in the Stubai valley – a paradise at your feet

If Nordic ski is your passion, visit us at Hotel Cappella and stand by to be amazed by the choice of cross-country trails the Stubai valley has to offer almost year-round!

Neustift, for example, can boast one of the longest cross-country ski trails in the Stubai valley:

Difficulty: light to intermediate
Length incl. variants: ca. 56 km
Elevation gain: 670 m

In Kampl, near our hotel, the trail joins the Neustift trail network that leads to the hamlet of Neder, then across the underpass and on towards the valley terminal of the Elfer lifts. After a slight ascent, the route leads over the hamlet of Lehner and then downhill to the meeting point by the Neustift leisure centre. A series of crossings and a steady but light ascent via Schaller, Krößbach and Volderau leads to Falbeson. The Falbesoner Au area, characterised by an extensive network of trails with several loops and bridges, is the last stretch before going back to the starting point.

We especially recommend the spectacular circular trail of Fulpmes, which is connected to the Neustift valley trail. There is also an high-altitude trail by the Stubai Glacier, which can be easily reached by using the Gamsgarten gondola lift. More options in various degrees of difficulty can be found in Mieders and in the Serlesbahnen ski area.

Naturally, our staff are always at your disposal if you need more information or advice on the best offers for the rental of cross-country ski equipment.

Nature’s music is never over; her silences are pauses, not conclusions.
